Potato and Chicken Tray with Béchamel
Required components
1) 2 - 3 large sweet potatoes
2) Chicken breast 300 - 400gm
3) Mozzarella cheese
4) Dried mint (Optional)
Béchamel
1) 100gm Butter
2) Garlic
3) 1 - 2 tablespoons of flour
4) 1 Cup Milk
5) 1 Cup Water
6) 2 Cubes of Chicken Broth
(Maggi) Dissolved In Hot Water
7) Black Pepper
8) Dried Mint (Optional)
The Method of Work:
Cut the potatoes into thick
slices - and also cut the chicken breast into strips or cubes as a desired
Frying or roasting the potatoes
and chicken a little in the oil and do not overcook.
Prepare the Béchamel:
Melt 100gm of butter and add 1-2
tablespoons of flour to it.. You can add butter or olive oil if need to roast
the flour more.
Melt 2 cubes of chicken broth
(Maggi) in a cup of warm water and add it to the flour and butter mixture with
constant stirring.
Add 1 cup of milk (room
temperature) and keep stirring.
Add 1 cup of water and keep
stirring.
Add black pepper to increase
flavor with a little ground mint (optional).
Note: No salt is added because chicken broth is
usually salty.
Now we put the potatoes and
chicken in a Pyrex bowl, a layer of potatoes and chicken on top of it a layer
of béchamel and so on..
The last layer we sprinkle
mozzarella cheese or parmesan cheese on top with a light sprinkle of dried mint
(as desired) .. And into the oven until roasted.
